I had a great interview with actor Liam Lionheart. Here Liam shares his success stories, what inspired him, his experiences and so on. Hope everybody enjoys it.
Tell a bit about yourself.
Many many thanks to Mayalogic ” The Best Entertainment Celebrity Blogging site in the world” for giving me the opportunity to tell me about myself and my acting career.
I’m Richard Warren William Todd the youngest of the family. I was born in 1971 to Pam and Lionel Todd on December 7th. I was a present to my Nan, also on her birthday. My parents and I traveled to the UK and America, Main and Florida.
When did you first realize you wanted to be an actor?
I would like to inform my fans, that when I was just 10 and 11 I was in two school plays. Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland, both only as an extra. I’ve seen many productions, Star Wars, Lost In Space, Cheers and so on. The two plays inspired me to become an actor, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill, there are others within the industry. One that admired was Robin Williams, I cried when he died. From all these actors, I dreamed to work with them someday.
I made my dream come true in 1994, just after working as a stage set builder.
14 horror films, all were for private collections.
Also, Most of the projects I get on as either as a Producer or a general thank you are primary connections with people who have known me over the years.
Whenever I write a new novel, I study the human reactions of different people, how they talk, how they walk, and even their religions. In The Madness of Avlon Klynn, each character comes from other sections of that world, different countries. Each has a voice, even the story’s villain spanning many books.
The Liam Lionheart as a writer, I branched out to writing screenplays. The Acting section, it’s mostly my company Todd Productions. All variations of horror. My background started in 1994, a friend of my family jack Morgan introduced me to his best friend. Worked as a stage builder on various plays. The last image I use on Youtube Channel is The Community.
What is your favorite thing about performing?
Getting lost in the roles, and being someone else helps to not think about my emotional state. Too many hard times, and personal problems.
What classes or training sessions have you taken to support your acting career?
I’m a doer, I set goals in life either writing or acting. In 2016 I hired a coaching teacher, Nathan McCloud of Life with Boys. Train 48 Amy and Duncan Mackenzie Improvisational course.
What was your first professional acting job?
I used to go out with Jason’s sister, Claire, I knew her through High School. That was an interesting time, my first lead horror film. I’m obsessed with horror films.
What was your most recent professional acting job?
The last time I acted was in 2019, in a film that I personally wrote, stared….. It wasn’t very big, just something I wanted to do.
Tell me a favorite experience in your career. Something that stands out in your memories and makes you want to find more experiences like it.
Everything I’ve done, I take pride of, they horned me into what I am. Getting lost in roles, to even writing my books.
What was the toughest experience in your acting career?
Meeting new people and not trusting them right away. I’m a shy person in nature, so it’s hard for me.
Have your family and friends been supportive of your acting career?
My mom and nephew support me, unsure about my sister though.
Tell me some career goals. What would you like to achieve?
Now at a certain point in life, I’m feeling ready to join the Union side of the Industry. My goals may sound strange, but being a horror actor and film director I want to keep hold of them. I grew up on science fiction, Marvel, horror, and DC Comics also a few other things. My goals are just the same, to create and be part of something bigger than myself.
Tell me something you were surprised by, something you never realized about being a professional actor.
That’s hard work and very filling, the same can be said for creating novels. People of many types don’t follow their dreams and others that just do. I set goals, not dreams,
You meet so many talented actors and fellow Canadian actors. How do you think I got involved with Con Man, not on my cv. If it wasn’t for Nathan Fillon I would not know about it.
What are words of advice you have for other aspiring actors?
Don’t dream, just make it a reality even if you get started on a friend’s project or theater.
For Those who want to be actors, how will they learn acting?
Go out of your way, and live life as you want it. Find courses in your area, and learn as much as you can.
What do you want your fans to know?
I have mild depression due to a few horrible things, I love making people laugh or cry. Acting isn’t a job, it’s a career. It didn’t choose me, I chose it.
Side Note if I may: I’m a good friend of Paul Tilley, his daughter Nancy nine years of age is just as talented as he is, Bella from another father is a fellow thespian hoping to get on Union Productions as I am.
